Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness

This blog was created to highlight the story of Teresa Hansen, or Mum as she's known to her grandchildren. Teresa was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I am Emily, her daughter, and I will try to update as often as possible with her prognosis, updates, and any notes from Mum.

Thanks for visiting and be sure to say "hi" and leave any words of encouragement for her! Be sure to check back often.

Emily, please know that you are all in our hopes and prayers. I am so glad that you have posted a blog for others to read on the days when it seems to hard to find the words to talk. Thank you for taking the time to share with us all the ups and downs. Your mom is a wonderful and beautiful person and she will overcome!! Luv you all so much! David, Shawn and the girls!

Emily,
Know that you are in all of our thoughts and prayers. I'm not sure if you know it or not, but my sister Mary beat breast cancer just a few short years ago. I have told Connie that if you guys need any help with fundraisers - or anything else, please let me know. I have put on a few spaghetti dinners in my day. I will be walking in the Walk for the Cure this year and will put mom on my list of those I am walking for. Again, let me know what I can do. lprunner@comcast.net 313 388 6041.
Love and prayers,
Ellen Pruner (Tara's aunt, Katie's mom, Terry's sister)

Yes Yes.. Ellen does know the "tricks of the trade" when it comes to spaghetti dinners for a large group. Let the "Aunties" know when they start planning the dinner. And I am known for my salads, and would love to donate salad when they're ready.
Emily,
Tara gave me your cell no. Here's mine...
(313) 618-5042. Program it in & I'll do the same. Or reach us at cbaileygo821@yahoo.com

Connie and Ellen,

Thank you for all your words and support. Connie, I said last night, and I mean it, you and Tara cooking meals for my mom has been a blessing. Not only are you both wonderful cooks, but you know all the healthful things my mom should have! Just another reason why my family is so lucky to have Tara as a daughter and a sister. We love you guys. Ellen, I'll pass your name onto my Aunt Laurie. When the time is right, I think she'll be the coordinator of the spaghetti dinner. Thank you! Emily Jo

Teresa,

You look great and sound very positive. I'll be praying for you and thinking only positive thoughts seeing you Healthy and Happy. It is wonderful that you have so many friends and family members that are so supportive. You are truly blessed.

I'm so glad you were able to come to NJ in October. It was wonderful to spend time with you, Laurie and Fran (the guys too).

Thank you Emily for setting up this site so we can all stay on top of your Mom's condition.

Love,

Suzan
